| About Mounthaven | Mounthaven Resort in Ashford. Washington | ||
|
Mounthaven Resort features 8 warm and accommodating cabins and 16 RV sites nestled on 7 heavily wooded acres ½ mile from Mt. Rainier National Park. Towering western red cedars, vine maple, and alder trees provide a forest backdrop for two mountain creeks and a pond. The original structure at Mounthaven was built in 1920 by Ann Billings and a carpenter friend. It served as both residence & a vacation home to Ann and her 5 daughters until 1932. With the depression in full swing, and needing a source of income, Ann turned the home into a boarding house and began to build rental cabins. Originally known as Billings Lodge, the property has seen a number of ownership and name changes over the years. We purchased Mounthaven in 1999. Since then, our focus has been on rejuvenating the cabins and grounds that have welcomed families from around the world for decades. We are participating members of: • Mt. Rainier Visitors Association • Washington State Hotel & Lodging Association • Tacoma Regional Convention & Visitor Bureau • Washington State Adopt-a-Highway Program |
